Of all the evil

Of all the crimes commited by mankind in the history of the world by far the most heinous is the systematic liquidation of 6 million Jews by the Nazis during World war 2, now known as the Holocaust. The testament of Jewish survivors, the grainy footage of the bodies piled up on one another and of the small children being marched to their deaths can still be viewed on the History Channel, it should have a greater audience. That this was evil like no other cannot be denied and the majority of the adult German population at the time, most of whom were either compliant or complicit in the slaughter, deserved to be wiped off the face of the earth by the atomic bombs bound for Japan. Admittedly not a practical proposition at the time.
Why are the horrors of Auschwitz not taught as part of every school syllabus in the land? Many extremist Muslims today make common cause with the crude anti-americanism of the fanatical left to deny the Holocaust ever happened. Our fear of causing offence leads us to allow the truth to be chipped away at by a new breed of Nazis who will again target the Jews should they succeed in brainwashing the next generation.
